Lightsaber Attack Lands Would-Be Jedi, David Allen Canterbury, in Prison for Assault

An Oregon judge has ordered David Allen Canterbury, a would-be Jedi, to 45-days in prison for assault and a mental health evaluation after he attacked toy store customers with a pair of light sabers.

Guy gets jail time for dual lightsaber attack at a toy store

Last month, we told you about a guy from Oregon who went all Darth Maul in the middle of Toys "R" Us, swinging plastic lightsabers at customers and cops until he was arrested. Now the same guy is on his way to a brief jail stay, though sadly his crime is not listed as "Misuse of the Force."

PORTLAND, Ore. — A "Star Wars" fan felt the full force of the law Monday when he was sentenced to 45 days jail for assaulting three people with a pair of "lightsabers" at a Portland Toys R Us store last month, The Oregonian reported.
